A Trip to the ZOO

I love going to the zoo and looking at all the animals they have, especially the ones I don't see everyday. Here are a few that I thought were pretty cool.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
First there's the beautiful peacock. One thing some of you may not know about peacocks is that the male peacock is the one who gets the beautiful tail. This is because the male has to look as beautiful as possible to attract a mate.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Next there's this handsome fella. This is the Scarlet Ibis.
As soon as I saw this bird I had to take a picture :D It's just so bright! I mean you can't miss it no matter how hard you try ^-^
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now, I saved the best for last: MONKEYS! But not just any monkey, this is the Capuchin Monkey. It is by far the smartest monkey I myself have ever seen. Just take a look for yourself:

#3: WALL-E Strikes Again

I have seen the movie WALL-E multiple times now, but this scene from the movie is very significant for a couple of reasons.
First there's John. John fell off his chair and was stuck. He couldn't get up on his own so he needed to wait there on the floor and wait for a service bot. Why couldn't he get up on his own? Well it's simple: No walking plus eating through a straw plus exerting no energy in anything for your entire life equals massive bone loss and weight gain. Yeah you read that correctly: eating through a straw. These people have become so lazy that they have actual began drinking their meals! Totally disgusting and I mean that can't be healthy!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A is for Axiom: Your home sweet home
B is for Buy N Large: your very best friend
Next there is what they are teaching the children and who is teaching them. These people have no clue that what they are doing is wrong. They have been taught from a very young age that this is the only way of living, and that it is the right way to do it. Not only that but robots are teaching the children! Robots! can you believe it? When teaching the kids the alphabet, the robots incorporate something good about the ship and what they are doing for every letter. Instead of hearing A is for apple, B is for bear and so on, you hear a robot voice saying "A is for Axiom  your home sweet home, B is for Buy N Large, your very best friend" These kids don't get to experience playing in the back yard with their friends; they don't even get a pet because in this world they don't exist. Instead, they sit on their floating prison cells and use video chat as their form of communication even if they are sitting right next to the person they are video chatting with.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
THIS SAYS IT ALL. YES!
Our society is definitely becoming more and more like the movie WALL-E. Sure we aren't on floating chairs and eating through straws, but we sure are getting there. Everyday we are becoming more and more reliant on technology. In turn this is making us more and more lazy. We want to be waited on our hand and foot in any way possible, and if that means letting robot take the role of humans then we will let it happen. Technology is consuming us to the point where it becomes us and everything we live for. It's like I said in a previous post: we need to use technology as a tool and nothing more.

VEGAS!!!

On the 28th of this month I will be on my way to Vegas along with my boyfriend and his mom :D
I can't wait we already have a list of things we are planing on doing and the rooms are booked.
We will be staying at the Bally's Hotel

Here are a few things we are planing on doing:

 Kiss Mini Golf:
Ok so is it just me or does this sound like the coolest thing ever? When Corey first told me I was excited, but now after looking at the pictures I am absolutely ecstatic. And of course there is a wedding chapel I mean 'common it's Vegas!

Dinner Shows:
Well we really want to go to a lot of these, but we are not sure as to which ones are the good ones. Here are a couple we have found interesting so far. There's Tournament of Kings the Dinner Show and Tony n' Tina's Wedding Dinner Show.

 Circus Circus:

I have been to Circus Circus once before, and it was absolutely amazing. You can go to the casino (If your 21 and over of course) Watch the shows, go to the arcade, go to the amusement park, or simply walk around and shop! It's great there is something for all ages and I can't wait to visit again!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So as you can see we have a lot planned but if you have been there and have any suggestions as to what we should go do then please comment and give us some ideas!

#2: WALL-E Shows Us Our Future

Wouldn't is be awesome to live in a spaceship up in space where you didn't have to move a muscle? All you would need to worry about is yourself. The inside would be decked out in all the latest technological advances. Eating would be a piece of cake because all the nutrients you need can be consumed through a straw, and you wouldn't even need to worry about walking because everyone gets their own floating chair to live on! And ladies shopping is done through the internet; there's no need to spend countless hours looking through racks and trying the clothes on, it goes straight from the screen to your body without moving a muscle. Everything you will ever need is on this ship! Sounds like heaven right?! I mean look at this dream place:

What's the catch you say? No catch :D you just sit there, relax and enjoy your life ^-^ Just look at these two handsome fellows If they can do you surely can too!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Well reality check. If you take the deal, and in turn abandon your home planet, this is the future you leave for Earth (left) and yourself (right):
--------------------------------------------
WALL-E shows us what is to become of our future if we become completely reliant on technology, and it doesn't look too good. First off, there is massive bone loss and as you can see from the video Captain didn't even know what a book was! He had no clue how to open one, instead the robot did it for him. Also when referring to the plant he called it a thingy! He had no knowledge of anything you can find on earth. If you look around the ship you won't see even the slightest trace of any other living creature aside from a human.
--------------------------------------------
In this other clip from the movie we can see how technology will affect us on a different level. We will become so reliant on the technology that instead of speaking to one another face to face we will rely on video chat. We will become oblivious to the world around us. Towards the end of the clip, WALL-E breaks the ladies virtual bubble, and opens up her eyes to everything around her. As she see's all the glorious things surrounding her she see's the pool and responds with, "uh, I didn't know we had a pool" She has been living in this spaceship her entire life and she had no idea there was a pool, none whatsoever.
--------------------------------------------
The truth is that technology is a great TOOL to help us better our life, but we should not let technology become our life.

#1: Blogs- Love Them or Hate Them?

After looking through multiple blogs, I found one I liked, one I loved, and one I simply hated.

First there's Google, Google was alright. I liked the information that the blog gives. Some of it is very informative and other parts are more for entertainment.
Either way, I still though it was a little too plain for my liking. As you can see from my blog I LOVE color! Google's blog is black and white, simple but informative. Now there's nothing wrong with that, but don't get me wrong, a little color has never hurt anyone.

Then, I came across the blog Whole Foods Market. I really enjoyed this blog; you could say that I LOVED it. There are pictures of the food their recipes (if followed correctly) will make, they have detailed recipes with any additional information you might need, they include healthy recipes for many different occasions and above all, there's COLOR!

Lastly, there's McDonald's Blog, I'm NOT lovin' it. Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against McDonald's, but their blog is simply horrendous. Sure they have some color, and although it's one of the reasons why I gravitate towards one blog over another, it isn't the only thing that makes a good blog. Blogs need good and or interesting information for their readers, they need a purpose, and a way to interact with their audience whether it may through videos, links, pictures, or all three of them, point is there needs to be something there. McDonald's blog has none but one, they have a purpose. Their purpose is to make themselves look good. Saying things like, "From the start, we've been committed to doing the right thing."Overall, I despise this blog and I doubt I will ever visit it again, this was a one time thing.

This Is Me

Me and the love of my life <3
My name is Nallely Gudino I am 18 years old and I was born in Chicago Illinois. I have a boyfriend named Corey and we have been together for two years now. For as long as I can remember I wanted to be a Surgeon working at a trauma center, but recently I decided that I did not want my job to be my life. The day before school started I had a crazy idea to change my classes so I can become a wedding planner  I love weddings and everything about them so I figured why not?! Now I am working towards becoming a business major and hopefully opening my own wedding planner business one day.
Me and my tia (aunt) Lili in front of my house in Chicago. I was about 5 years old :)
This is my gorgeous niece Savanah
showing off the nails i did for her :)
I recently discovered that i do not have to go out
and spend ridiculous amounts of money
on getting my nails done and instead I can
 do them myself :D
This is a drawing I did of me and my boyfriend ^-^

A few things I like to do on my spare time are drawing, panting, doing nails, shopping, camping and making tutus for my nieces. One thing I used to really enjoy doing was horseback riding, I used to go to Mexico every summer and ride my grandfather's horses and although I have not been able to go in about three years, I would do it again in a heartbeat.

This is the picture I used to make the drawing of Corey and me :)
This some foil art I did

Not sure what this is called but my boyfriend
asked me to draw it for him so I did :D

As far as School goes, I am a full time student at GCC and as you already know I am studying to become a business major. This class is required for my major but I am really looking forward to writing my blog each week :) and who knows, I might just keep blogging even after this class is over. Well that's enough about me for one day. There will be more soon, till next time, bye :D
